AXN Pro VMS Privacy Policy

Updated 2026-10-14

About this policy

AXN Pro VMS is provided under the AXN trading name (DBA). This policy covers the iPhone and iPad app and its communication with the compatible video security service and authorized recorders. It is intended for authorized adult operators and is not directed at children.

Your organization controls access to its sites, cameras, recordings, watchlists and device controls. Ask your organization about its surveillance notices, recording authority and evidence policies. This policy does not replace its notices or the policies of a destination you choose when sharing.

Account and notifications

The app uses your email address, account identifier, organization, assigned sites and permissions to authenticate you and authorize access. Credentials and session material are stored in the device Keychain.

If you enable notifications, the app registers a notification token and encryption public-key information with the service. Registration is associated with your account and authenticated session. The private encryption key remains in the device Keychain. Apple provides notification delivery.

Video, audio and submitted information

The app receives authorized live video, recordings, audio, thumbnails, events, camera and site information, and sensor or lock information. Some media is temporarily cached on the device for viewing.

When you choose to submit an image or recording, the app sends it to the selected authorized service or recorder. This includes installation photos, watchlist reference photos, mobile evidence recordings and imports, and associated labels or notes. A recording can include audio when you enable it. Account, site and evidence details identify the submission and its destination. Interrupted uploads can retain the device original so you can resume delivery or remove it.

Authorized face-reference and watchlist features process biometric reference information and matching results within the permitted organization scope. A match is a candidate for review, not a confirmed identity.

Optional two-way audio sends microphone audio to the authorized camera or audio device. Saving or sharing sends media to the Photos library or the destination you select. The app writes technical diagnostics to Apple’s on-device logging facilities for reliability and troubleshooting. A diagnostic report you choose to send for support can contain technical information about the app.

Use and recipients

Account and device information supports authentication, authorization, push delivery and security. Submitted content supports the evidence, installation, search and watchlist actions you choose. The service and authorized recorders process requests under your organization’s permissions. Apple provides device permission controls and notification delivery. A recipient you choose when sharing receives the exported content.

AXN does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or share it for advertising tracking or with data brokers.

Permissions and privacy requests

Camera permission allows evidence recording and supported video communication. Microphone permission allows optional recording audio and two-way audio. Photos add permission allows saving exported media. Face ID can protect local sign-in. Local network permission permits direct connections to authorized recorders. Change these permissions in iOS Settings; features requiring a denied permission may be unavailable.

Sign out to end the app session. Use the available evidence controls to remove local originals or request removal of submitted originals when authorized. Contact your organization about site access or customer evidence. For account access, deletion or privacy questions, email brad@industrialcamera.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before providing or deleting protected records; legal obligations and evidence holds can limit deletion.

Retention and protection

Recorder evidence retention follows available storage space rather than a guaranteed number of days. The recorder reclaims eligible oldest evidence when space is low; authorized holds can protect particular records. The published evidence horizon describes retained history. Submitted mobile originals also have explicit authorized deletion controls.

Explicit photo enrollment has separate recognition-source and display-portrait copies. The recognition source becomes unavailable after processing or its 24-hour deadline and is removed through scheduled cleanup. The display portrait remains until authorized removal or replacement, entry or list deletion, or reassignment. Supplemental reference uploads have a different current lifecycle: their encrypted image is purged when derivation finishes, but a source that never finishes can remain until entry deletion. Derived embeddings have their own organization retention policy.

Notification prefetch media has a ten-minute default age limit. Reads reject older content and cleanup removes expired files. Event playback resources clear on return after five minutes in the background by default. These particular cache limits do not promise that every local original or cache is erased after that duration. Incomplete-delivery originals can remain until explicit removal.

Push unregister deactivates its server registration; it does not itself delete the row. Account records, inactive push registrations, security audits and support correspondence do not have a single fixed automatic deletion period. Contact us or the responsible organization to request deletion. Authentication session records become eligible for bounded cleanup fourteen days after expiry and known revocation, with further retention where revocation time is unknown. Session cleanup is separate from account deletion.

The app uses authenticated access and protected device storage for credentials and sensitive local data. Evidence access depends on organization, site and resource permissions. No system can guarantee absolute security.
